Terms and Conditions
Welcome to Pricewise (Pricewise.co.ke). By placing an order or making a purchase on this website, you acknowledge and agree to be bound by the terms and conditions outlined below.
1. Delivery Options & Risk
Estimated Timelines: We place great importance on the fast and reliable delivery of customer orders. However, please note that delivery times are estimates only, and Pricewise shall not be liable for any delivery delays.
Failure to Accept Delivery: If the Customer fails or refuses to take delivery of the goods, then in addition to all other rights and remedies of Pricewise, the Customer shall be liable for all loss and damage (including consequential loss and damage) suffered or incurred by Pricewise as a result. At our discretion, we may charge a restocking fee of up to 25% of the purchase price.
Risk and Inspection: The goods shall be at the Customer’s risk from the point of delivery. Upon taking delivery, the Customer must immediately examine the goods and give written notice to Pricewise of any defect within three (3) days. Failing this notification, the goods shall be deemed to have been delivered in good order and condition and accepted by the Customer.
2. Prices, Payment & Taxes
Full Payment: The price shall be paid by the Customer in full without any deduction in respect of any claimed set-off or counterclaim (including any set-off or counterclaim on account of any delivery delays on the part of Pricewise).
Currency: Unless otherwise stated, all charges and prices for Products shall be quoted in Kenya Shillings (KES).
Taxes and Costs: You will be responsible for payment of all taxes associated with your purchase, its delivery, and the utilization of the Product/Services. The total amount payable for a Product shall include its delivery cost.
Price Fluctuations: Prices for our products are subject to change without notice.
Service Modifications: We reserve the right at any time to modify or discontinue the Service (or any part or content thereof) without notice. We shall not be liable to you or to any third party for any modification, price change, suspension, or discontinuance of the Service.
3. Return & Refund Policy
General Returns: Pricewise will gladly refund or credit goods returned within a reasonable time (generally 3 days), provided the goods are in their original condition, original packaging, current version, and are not a special order, hardware, peripheral, or clearance item. Otherwise, we will make our best effort to arrange an exchange with the manufacturer or accept the goods back for resale.
Manufacturing Defects: The return period for a product that is defective due to manufacturing faults is strictly 24 hours from the date of sale.
Outside Nairobi: Customers located outside Nairobi must communicate directly with Pricewise to facilitate and coordinate the return process.
Sealed Items: No returns will be accepted on products sold or delivered as sealed. For these items, the standard manufacturer warranty applies.
Credit Notes: * A credit note for the full purchase price may be issued if returns take place within 48 hours, provided goods are in their original packaging (including all manuals & software) and are in a resalable condition.
Credit notes may also be issued for goods returned after 48 hours from the date of purchase, but strictly within five (5) days.
No credit will be issued at all if the return is requested more than 3 days after the purchase, unless it falls under standard warranty procedures.
Packaging Requirements: All returned goods must be correctly packaged in the exact inner and outer packaging in which they were received. Items that are not correctly packaged will attract a minimum 15% handling charge.
Proof of Purchase: Original invoices must be presented with all returns.
4. Warranty Information
General Warranty Terms
Pass-Through Warranty: Products sold by Pricewise are covered by the manufacturers’ warranty that accompanies the product unless otherwise stated. Pricewise makes no additional or independent warranty.
Limitation of Liability: Pricewise does not warrant the performance, compatibility, integrity, merchantability, or fitness for a particular purpose of any product, but merely passes through to the Customer whatever end-user warranty the manufacturers or software publishers provide.
Suitability: We do not warrant the suitability of goods. Please verify the compatibility and suitability of products with your existing setup and/or the manufacturer before purchasing.
Duration: Products carry a 12-month warranty from the date of purchase unless specified otherwise.
Voiding Warranty: The warranty will be immediately voided if:
The serial number or its label is missing or defaced.
The items are written on, physically damaged, or tampered with in any way.
Dead on Arrival (DOA): Due to restrictions placed upon us by manufacturers, hardware that is defective on arrival can generally be exchanged if we are notified within 7 days of the invoice date. Outside this window, the standard manufacturer’s warranty process must be followed.
Manufacturer Warranty vs. Dealership Warranty
Manufacturer Warranty Support: For products covered under a manufacturer warranty, Pricewise will not be liable in the event the manufacturer declines coverage. To ensure the fastest service, clients are required to take defective items to the official manufacturer warranty center located in the Nairobi CBD in person. Please ensure you carry a copy of your receipt or order confirmation.
Uninterruptible Power Supplies (UPS): All UPS units carry a manufacturer warranty. Pricewise will only guarantee and handle the unit directly for the first 7 days post-purchase.
Dealership Warranty: Units explicitly sold with a “dealership warranty” do not carry a valid East African Manufacturer warranty, as they are originally sourced or intended for sale in other regional markets.
5. Value Added Tax (VAT)
VAT Rate: In accordance with Kenyan Tax Regulations, Value Added Tax (VAT) is charged at the standard rate of 16%.
Pricing Display: All prices indicated on the Pricewise website are VAT-exclusive unless explicitly stated otherwise.
6. Customer Acknowledgement & Changes
Agreement: The Customer explicitly acknowledges agreement with these Terms and Conditions of Sale by placing an order to purchase a product from Pricewise.
Authority Limits: All goods are supplied under these terms and conditions only. No person employed by Pricewise, or acting as an agent, has the authority to supply goods under any other terms or vary these conditions in any manner whatsoever. Previous business dealings shall not vary or negate these terms.
Changes to This Agreement: We reserve the right, at our sole discretion, to modify or replace these Terms and Conditions by posting the updated terms on the Site. Your continued use of Pricewise.co.ke after any such changes constitutes your formal acceptance of the updated Terms and Conditions.
